Welcome to Monastir! Located on Tunisia’s beautiful Mediterranean coast, Monastir offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and relaxation. As your host city for the EFI-MMS 2026 Conference, here is all the practical information you need to plan your trip and stay.

Getting to the Conference Venue

✈️ Nearest Airports

📍 Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport (MIR)
Located just 10–15 minutes on foot from the venue hotel, Monastir Airport offers regular international and domestic flights.
An information desk will be available at the airport to assist participants upon arrival and to guide them to the venue hotel.

📍 Tunis–Carthage International Airport (TUN)
Approximately 2 hours by car from the venue.
Shuttle services can be arranged for participants upon registration to coordinate group transportation from various international flights (Approximate Cost: 75 euro for 1 to 3 persons and 90 euro for 4 to 6 persons).
Further details will be shared through a transportation form sent to all registered participants to help synchronize arrivals and reduce transportation costs.


🏨 Conference Hotel

The conference will be held in the Skanes tourist zone, home to numerous beachfront hotels and resorts, and only about 15 minutes on foot from Monastir Airport.

  • Accommodation:
    The registration fee includes hotel accommodation for the nights of April 14, 15, and 16.

  • Additional Arrangements:
    Participants who wish to arrive earlier, stay longer, or be accompanied by others can make special arrangements through the organizing committee.An additional night can be booked at a cost of 75 euros per night for a single room. 

    A specific accommodation form will be sent to all contributors after the submission deadline to organize any additional needs.

  • Hotel Services:
    Early check-in, luggage storage, and other essential services will be available at the hotel.

 

 

 

                     

 

 


🛂 Visa Procedures

Many countries have visa-free access to Tunisia.

  • Green countries: Visa-free entry

  • Orange countries: Entry only through organized travel (arrangements must be made with the local embassy)

  • Grey countries: Visa required

For the most accurate and updated information, please consult the websites or Facebook pages of Tunisian embassies in your country.

The organizing committee can assist participants who need official invitation letters or supporting documents for visa applications.
